A Decant policy is something that every housing association should have in place, it should also be easily accessible to their tenants.

If a tenant is asked to leave their property whilst repairs take place it is a document that provides information to the tenants on what they are entitled to in regards to temporary accommodation and food expenses etc. Without a policy Tenants will not know their rights.
